Souvenir Pin Display

I collected all of these great pins on our trip in June.  Now what am I going to do with them?  I didn't want to just throw them in a drawer and see them every once in a while when I opened that drawer!  So I made this neat display for them.

I just figured out the size I wanted it to be this is 15 x 24, and cut a triangle with the mountains that reminded me of the ones out west.  Sew on the grey, then another triangle and more grey, etc.....  I just winged it on the sizes.  I quilted it with bright yellow for the "road".  Then bound it and hung it in the hallway!  I love the way it turned out!  I get to see it everyday and remember a great vacation!  Maybe I should sew on a sleeve and hang it right?  LOL   Now I need one for the Quilt Shop Pins I have in my drawer!

Catching up!

Just coming back from a wonderful Vacay!  And now I have to catch up on all the things I did not do while gone, mostly catching up on me blogs before heading out to work in the quilt room!  Check out Sew Crafty Jess, she is giving away a Go!
